Stone Boat Series

My great grandmother, on the farm in Wapella Saskatchewan, took the horse and stone boat to travel to the neighbour farm woman’s house to visit…or else she would have died of loneliness.  Wheel-less stone boats were normally used to collect and drag stones out of the field before planting.  I have a notion we all have stone boats – somewhere or someone in our lives – to help clear out the stones.
