Squeezebox: Accordian Paintings

Accordion Paintings, are the story of many years I spent dancing to spine-tingling Irish music. …lots of it accordion played.

These were super wonderful years of great friendships, sharing it all with Chris, fancy dancing, ten trips to the West of Ireland for even MORE dancing and playing. I still leap to my feet when I hear reels and jigs.

For some of this time I played Irish dance music on the accordion, but NOT excellently. I bought my accordion, WW II, vintage, from a dulse gatherer in the town of Quilty, County Clare.

These paintings are all 36" x 48", and made with acrylic, some mixed media, and lots of love/pleasure. Special thanks to Ewa Stryjnik.
